Knitters and Crafters Tour of Paris
May 9-17, 2025
Come along with us as we explore Paris and beyond! This is a great trip for people who have "always wanted to go to Paris". And what better time? Notre Dame is re-opened and we will have a private guided tour. We will spend a day at Monet's Garden at Giverny. We have plans for a day at the La Bien Aimee pop up shop and another day with classes at Les Tricoteurs Volants yarn shop.
Round out the itinerary with a visit to the Louvre and free time for shopping including the famous flea market and fashion district. Note: we plan to do quite a bit of walking or use mass transit in the city.
Kintter’s Tour of Spain
November 12-21, 2025
Ten days and nine nights of knitting and amazing sights with friends old and new. Barcelona Knits is Europe's largest fiber festival. Join Battenkill Textile Tours to take advantage of exclusive access to classes and more at the festival. While in Barcelona we'll also have a private knit class for just our group with with instructor Carol Feller. There will be plenty of time to explore the natural beauty of the Catalonia region and its historic architecture. Our time in Madrid will include behind the scenes visits to a centuries-old tapestry and carpet weaving workshop and Wool Dreamers yarn mill and shop. On top of all that, we're planning a Paella Passion cooking class!
 A Textile Tour Through Scotland
with The Woolly Thistle
May 29 - June 6, 2025
Essential Scotland! This amazing eight night/nine day sampler tour is a great way to discover Scottish textile traditions while at the same time explore the country and its history and culture. And to make the experience that much better, Corinne from The Woolly Thistle will be traveling with us the entire trip.
Other highlights include: Gansey knitting class with Di Gilpin, wool waulking demonstration at Stirling Castle, behind the scenes tours to Prickly Thistle, Eribe and Johnstons of Elgin, and a Dorset Button making workshop. We’ve also built in some time for travelers to explore Edinburgh and Inverness on their own before our farewell at the Scotch Whisky Experience Centre on the Royal Mile.
Exploring Sweden + Helsinki - September 26 - October 5, 2025
Join our favorite guide in Scandinavia, Andrew Hutter, as we experience historic sites and museums in the Old Town and new Stockholm, including a knitting class with Maria's Garn, before heading north to explore Dalecarlia region known for Carl Larsson birthplace, painted wooden horses, the Anders Zorn Museum, and the Arts & Crafts Sweden Center.
Then, after a tour at the Gudron Sjoden design center and time in their warehouse store, we head through the Stockholm archipelago that contains nearly 24,000 islands enroute to Finland on an overnight dinner cruise. Save room in your bags for a yarn shop crawl through Helsinki in search of locally-sourced and milled Finn wool brands that are hard to get in the US including Myssy Wool and Tuku Yarn. And wrap it all up with a class with Finland’s best known knitwear designer Veera Valimaki.
